The Alpha Water Conditioning RV350 Series Mobile Water Conditioners are designed and manufactured to be portable and easy to use. Many campgrounds throughout the U.S. have an objectionable water supply with high levels of iron and hardness. The RV350 mobile water softeners were developed as a means to soften water for RVs and campers and any other mobile use. This water conditioner does not use a control valve for regenerations, but has a Do-It-Yourself regeneration process that can be done at the user’s convenience. The system includes a 6” dia. X 18” high polyglass mineral tank, high-quality polystyrene resin and ¾” garden hose fittings as the inlet and outlet. The installation is as simple as placing the tank near the RVs inlet water connection, attaching a hose from the water spigot to the inlet side of the softener, and attaching a hose from the outlet of the softener to the RVs water connection.

  

The Do-It-Yourself regeneration delivers an upflow backwash, downflow brining and slow rinse, rapid rinse, and downflow service. Regenerations are manually performed.

Backwashing is easily achieved by disconnecting the hose from the RV and connecting the feed water to the outlet side of the softener.

Reconnect the feed water to the inlet side of the softener and remove the fill plug, pour a box of salt into the fill hole and replace the fill plug to begin the regeneration process.

Adjust the water flow to a trickle and allow regeneration to take place for 45 minutes to one hour.

After the regeneration process, accelerate flow to 1 – 2 gallons per minute for 5 minutes. Reconnect softener to the RV.
